I have a problem when I want to start the Alfresco installation.

I am using Debian and following the wikisite to install Alfresco. (http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_Labs_3#Linux_download_and_installation)

My Debian server is running and I installed Java and Apache. Now I should be ready to install Alfresco according to the wiki installation manual. But that isnt the case.

I get a very strange error. I hope someone of you can help me figure out how to fix this error.
My Linux knowledge is not really high, so please pay attention when you write a post with a possible solution.

I get the following error when I want to install:

alfresco-labs:/opt/alfresco# ./Alfresco-Labs-3b-Linux-x86-Install
Alfresco-Labs-3b-Linux-x86-Install: dl-open.c:438: dl_open_worker: Assertion `imap->l_type == lt_loaded' failed.
Aborted

I really hope any of you guys can help me.

I have the same problem then I try install alfresco Labs:

and …. this is VMWare machine

I have installed module php5-imap, but this error happens then this module is loaded, ant then it's unloaded too.

Can somebody tell me what can i do to install alfresco labs?

Hi!

I have downloaded the Alfresco-Labs-3b-Mini-Setup.exe and installed it on a WINDOWS SERVER 2003, Standard Edition, Service Pack 1.

Unfortunetly I can´t get it working

Can someone help me plzzz???

The Alfresco install has Tomcat as a webserver so you do not need apache.
You do need JAVA.
JAVA is used for running alfresco, not for the install.

The wiki page you referenced does not provide accurate steps for a linux install. Please refer to my wiki page http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_Labs_3_on_Linux_with_command_line_interface
Please let me know if you have better success.

Be sure to try what BELMEKKI suggested:
chmod +x Alfresco-Labs-3b-Linux-x86-Install , then retry to it.

Dimic there is no dependency for php or imap in that install package, so the error is misleading.

Sorry I do not have a direct answer, just some guidance.

Well, I reinstalled the virtual machine using CentOS according to the wikipage, it got updated with a more accurate guideline. Now I got Alfresco working under CentOS, but thanks for all replies.
I think my Apache was causing problems when I tried to install the Alfresco and caused the error, but that I can't say for sure.

Well, the topic may be closed, I got my answer to the question. I decided to reinstall instead of hoping anyone would solve this. And the reinstall option worked out well for me.

Hi!

Update your java version ( JRE version ) to the latest one.It will solve your problem.

I updated the JRE to the latest version, but that didn´t solve the problem.

I had to update the JDK to the latest version. Now the Alfresco is running.

If someone have the same problem, try to update the JDK to latest version.

In the french part i found a solution for debian etch:

./Alfresco-Labs-3b-Linux-x86-Install –mode console
./Alfresco-Labs-3c-Linux-x86-Install –mode console

tried the 3c version. Now for me it is solved (the hint with the jdk version is quite senceless)
