[Solved] Daily e.mail notification language setting

Hello,

Where is configured the language used in the daily e.mail notifications ?

I understand that the language used in Share is based on the web browser settings but I did not find where things are set for e.mail notifications.

Thank you for any pointer to relevant documentation. I did not find anything during my web searches.

The short answer is that it is the servers locale.
You can change it in your startup file with

export JAVA_OPTS="${JAVA_OPTS} -Duser.country=US -Duser.region=US -Duser.language=en"‍

I updated my /opt/alfresco-4.0.b/tomcat/scripts/ctl.sh file according to your suggestion and it worked.

E.mail notification are now in english.

Nevertheless, this approach is really strange as we would have expected a per user selection of languages preferences..
