Solr fails to retrieve categories

I have deleted the solr indexes (alf_data/solr/workspace/SpacesStore/index and alf_data/solr/archive/SpacesStore/index directories) as I was trying to solve a solr related exception I was getting (alfresco 4.0.d).

The problem is that sine I restarted alfresco after the delete, categories appear to longer be tracked by solr. The only category that displays under the category root is Tags.

Note that I have deleted all of the other system default categories (Regions, Languages, etc) except for Tags and added lots of my own.

Even categories that I try to add now, are not tracked by solr anymore…

Hi

Are there any excpetions in the logs?
What does the SOLR SUMMARY page say? Is it changing?

Apparently that was my bad. The index was quite huge and solr took to its time to index the categories as they were inserted by a later transaction in the system.

thanks anyway Smiley Happy I've got some other questions/problems regarding solr but I will make a new post for them.
