SMTP Setup: 'does not reference a valid accessible node'

I'm trying out the 3.0 labs version of Alfresco, and trying to test out email archiving.  I've installed the AMP file into the ROOT.war file:

I then configured the smtp server as such:

So far so good.  Next I created the 'mailbot' user and added it to the 'EMAIL_CONTRIBUTORS' group:

Then created a 'mail' folder in 'My Home' and attached an email alias to it:

So from all this, I thought I got everything.  But I send an email to geofa@alfresco.co.dac.int, and I get the following response:

Did I miss anything obvious? Or less than obvious?
