I have a two diffrent application.One is my web-application and another is Alfresco.Both have diffrent server. If you want to have anthentication outside of alfresco (in particular in your web-app) then you would authenticate via ldap in your web-app then use external authentication for alfresco so alfresco trusts your web-app.
