Hi,

I'm new to Alfresco Web-Scripts and Web Quick Start.
I'm going to develop a CMS for publishing and tagging documents.
Please guide me should I use web-scripts or web quick start.
I'm using Alfresco Community 4.0.d. Also tell me how to download and install web quick start

Thanks,
Mazhar

Web Scripts are a lower-level concept than Web Quick Start. Web Scripts are part of an MVC framework that let you bind URLs to code and one or more views. Web Quick Start, on the other hand, is a Web Content Management solution that includes a sample folder structure, an API, and an example Spring web application that implements the front-end web site.

To understand how to use Web Quick Start, see:
http://docs.alfresco.com/4.0/topic/com.alfresco.enterprise.doc/concepts/qs-intro.html

Reading through that might help you understand if it will fit for your particular solution.

To learn how to install and configure Web Quick Start, see:
http://docs.alfresco.com/4.0/topic/com.alfresco.enterprise.doc/concepts/WQS-intro.html

The alternatives to Web Quick Start are things like:
- Crafter
- Drupal + Alfresco
- Liferay + Alfresco
- Custom solution built using any language you want that accesses the repository via CMIS and/or custom web scripts

Hope that helps,

Jeff
