should I recommend postgresql or MySQL

Hi All
I have planned to recommend a custom installtion of Alfresco instance, consider we have lots of documents checked into the system on daily basis. In such a scenario which database will be suitable.
Should I go for 'postgresql' or should I go for 'MySQL'
Is there any bench mark which I can refer

I don't think there is a deciding factor in terms of benchmark, both are good solutions.
