When i add a WIki Page, and laetr rename it they show up as two different pages in the Wiki Page List.

IS there a way out of it?

No - that's how the wiki works. We don't delete renamed pages because people might still be linking to them. You can manually delete the old page if you don't want it any more.

Thanks,
Mike

Is there a wiki page or a document that explains how the wiki is supposed to work? I was trying to figure out how to create links between pages, but it is not clear to me how this is done. In other wiki products you would use either a markup tag or have some kind of index/tree tool so that you can have a hierarchy of related pages.

Another question I had was: how do I include images in wiki pages? Do I have to upload these separately and then link them via a url?

Sorry for the basic questions. A pointer to documentation would be great.

Link to internal pages with the standard wiki [[Page Name]] format.

To include an internal image, first upload one to the Document Library, then click the Image Library button (to the right of the Anchor button).

Thanks,
Mike

Cool - that worked. I didn't see that button because it does not have an icon. It is "blank" - there's no image for it. Can I have attachments in some way?

How about parent-child relationships? I'm used to things like zwiki or twiki where your wiki structure depends on having page parents. Is that possible in alfresco's wiki?

There should be an icon - not sure why you haven't got one.

No - the Alfresco Share wiki is a very light implementation. Currently, the structure is flat.

Thanks,
Mike

Ok - thanks for your quick answers. Much appreciated.

That would be a good thing to add for future if possible. A wiki without a structure is like a blog I think pretty much.

Don't get me wrong - I think the work on share is really impressive in 3.2  Smiley Very Happy

Thanks for the feedback. It's always worth raising an enhancement request in JIRA with the functionality you'd like to see. That way we get a better idea of how people want to use Alfresco and you get a chance to steer the product direction.

Thanks,
Mike

Also whn i go to Wiki for any site by default it shows the main page but not the listing of pages. Is their a way to change the default display to the page listing?

Ok - I will think about how to do that.

To me it seems that there is a set of minimal features that a wiki needs to have and are missing in share. I can put these all in one Jira request, but I suspect they should go into a set of requests.
