Hi!

I'm just amazed by the possibilities of Alfresco Share.
I'm playing with the tought to add all our documents to Alfresco Share.

These are office documents in various formats.
Can Alfresco handle let's say 35000 files including lucene fulltext search?
Will it still work fluently?

How many files do you have in Alfresco?

Thx!
Greetings

Hi!

It seems that 1 million documents is a somewhat magical number for Alfresco. That is the number Alfresco is supporting when providing enterprise upgrade support: http://www.alfresco.com/services/consulting/
There is a test with much more. The observations found from page 6 on give the impression of a sound and dependable system http://www9.unisys.com/eprise/main/admin/corporate/doc/Alfresco_Benchmark_Report_BL100093.pdf

To find out for yourself, you can easily drop all files into the document library folder of your Share space and see, if it blinks Smiley Very Happy
To do this, there are CIFS and WebDAV (maybe more, of which I'm not aware of in the moment).
Just search the forum or http://wiki.alfresco.com for details on how get started with them.

Hi!

Thx for your info sax.
I'm currently testing the importoption by zipfile.
Webdav has problems with some files. Zip Import seems to work flawlessly.
