Set group permission per folder

Hi,

is there a way to set group permissions for a folder (instead of using global roles). My problem is that there are folders that should not be seen by default users, but only by group members. A feature like combining roles and groups would be nice like "is editor" and belongs to "group a".
My current solution is to add an extra site for every folder, but that cannot be the only solution, can it?
I am currently evaluating Alfresco Enterprise as an replacement for our running Project Open. If it is not possible to create a permission set as described above, we'll be unable to use it because we'll need to create many folders - one per project. We are having about 10 new projects a day.
Any help is appreciated.

Kind regards,
Jan

Use the Repository browser to set permissions instead. The Site-based permissions are deliberately kept simple for 90% of use cases.

Thanks,
Mike

Bit of a newbie myself, but

If I understand your requirements ( sounds like one I have ) you can
Click the more + on the folder
Manage Permissons and set all other users have no permissions.

I think that may give you what you want.

No, I understand he's asking about group-based permissions, not role-based.

Thanks,

Thank you so much - after finding the Repository Explorer it was really easy!
