Send SMS from activiti

I'm new at the world of BPM and I like to know if is posible make that activiti sends an SMS message? and if is posible How to make that?

I apreciate all the information that can be usefull to make this project.

Activiti doesn't provide sending SMS messages out of the box. If you are using an SMS gateway you could connect to it from Activiti.

SImple solution is to use some Java code as service task or observer. More elegant ( scallable ? ) would be to use Activiti with Camel ( see Activiti manual )
