Searching on generate web site

Hi,

I have generated a website using alfresco. At the top of the their is global search option. When user will enter any data in the search box it will search in all the generated pages and as a result give those pages which will contain the search text. Can alfresco searching mechanism help me in this regard?

It depends where your content is.    If you are using WCM and have deployed to a live AVM store then yes, search will work.

I have deployed my content on tomcat webapps folder. Now how the search will work? Will i hit to alfresco server to get the search result?
