search on custom properties using solr

Hello Friends,

I have added some custom metadata in all of my documents while uploading documents in alfresco.
I can search on these meta tags using SOAP and also using webscripts.

Now i want to search documents on theses meta tags using solr and also want to display them in search result. But i am unable to do this.
I have added meta tags in schema.sql as fields.I have no idea where i am wrong.

Can someone please help me in configuring solr in alfresco.

Do you mean direct Solr search, or using the Alfresco SearchService?

yes, i want to do direct solr search.
Do u have any idea how to do that ?

Hi

You should not use SOLR direct - Alfresco needs to provide additional information to evaluation authorization.

You can use SOLR direct - if you must - the results will only include fields defined as stored in Alfresco.
Do not modify the schema.xml. The Alfresco data model is picked up dynamically using the * wildcard match ….
