Scalability of Activiti

Hello,

We are trying to use Activiti for some heavy operations. During testing, we think we have hit some limitations on the scale. At a point where 150+ timers fire simultaneously, Activiti crashes. The ldap plugin does not allow anyone to login, or call any web apis. I had to turn jobExecutor off and restart activiti, to clean those workflows.

The question is, is there a known limit on the how much load Activiti can take? Is my problem related to that, or is there something better that I can do?

The job executor has by defaulta small threadpool. Did you try to increase that one?

It's not normal that the job executor makes the engine crash, as it uses a threadpool that is external to the engine.
