salvaged my contentstore files; how to reUSE??

hi,

had a server crash; motherboard died. salvaged the harddrive fine, but since the motherboard was old, the same old harddrive didn't work to boot the new motherboard. hence, i built new server from scratch and now have a very full alf_data directory from the old system (v1.3) and want to use it on my new server.

how do i salvage this alf_data directory?
do i simply overwrite a newly created alf_data with the old (full) alf_data directory??

please advise. have huge number of saved files i don't know how to access.

OK, it appears i got it working. All the old files, with an old JDK, works fine now. am backing up and will start a gradual upgrade.

didn't want anyone to waste any time on this.
