Rules do not apply to space creation.

Hi all:
I'm developing a little script that applied to a document "normalizes" the filenames ( it replaces the characters that are not considered safe ). I've applied it to a space and it's subspaces an it does work great with the documents but it does not even fire with spaces.

It doesn't seem to be a bug it just seems that the creation of a space is not considered an inbound nor update action in Alfresco's explorer. So… Is there any way of applying an action in the creation of a space ? I suppose the alternative way is to create a behaviour for the folder creation but that's seems to me overkilling for such a thing.

Not really. Finally i did develop the behaviour approach and even though with some caveats (it fires more than once for each creation or update) it seems to work.

Right on. I took the same approach.

Are you using the Transaction frequency instead of Every_event for your behavior? that could limit the number of calls.

Whoops? Transaction frequency ? I do not know anything about this. Does this mean that I can configure to happen just once per each transaction ? How is it done ? Is it a bean configuration option ?

I can't find any documentation about this.

Could you offer some code on how you were able to normilize the file names.  I am looking to accomplish a similar idea.  I want to prepend some letters to a file name as its added to a space.
