How come when I apply the rss template to a space any of the resulting links in the RSS feed go to localhost instead of the FQDN? For example, say I have a space called public. I then apple the RSS template to it. The RSS URL it generates is proper in that it uses the FQDN. However, when I view the RSS feed through any RSS reader/aggrigater, all the links in the rss feed link to localhost, not the FQDN. Very weird.
Simply edit the RSS template in "/Company Home/Data Dictionary/RSS Templates" - you can always create more than one template if you need more than one server.
Okay, I now have the RSS feed properly using my FQDN and not localhost. But how often does it update? It appears that the rss feed is a snapshot of the content in a space at the time I apply the rss template. New items don't seem to appear. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks in advance!
It depends on what is coded in the template - the default example RSS template provided returns all documents created in the last 7 days. When you add new documents and refresh the feed it will show new items. Make sure your RSS client is refreshing the feed.
