We would like to revise cm:folder so all spaces have a mandatory aspect of cm:generalclassifiable (i.e. we want to be able to add categories to spaces in the explorer ui, without having to make them classifiable first.) So the question is what is the best way to achieve this? We could modify the cm:folder definition, but then we would have to maintain that over upgrades. We could make a child "dac:folder" but how do we make alfresco use that instead of cm:folder?
This had to be something a lot of implementations have had to get past, so I'm wondering what are the best options, and if there are options I haven't thought of?
