Retrieve highest MAJOR version of documents within a space

I've been searching around for the answer, but can't seem to find it. Is there a straight forward (and fast) method for retrieving a collection/array of the most recent MAJOR version of documents within a given space?

There is no shortcut for this … You'll have to create some code to check each document for the latest major version.
