Result value of a workflow

Is the result of a default workflow stored in the associated document as properties ?
How can I know if a document was approved or reject ?

hi,
no, but you can add an aspect on your own but modifying the javascript within a processdefinition.
jeff wrote a very good tutorial on workflows & alfresco in general.
