Hi all,

I have created some custom content models ( i.e created custom xml files) using the data dictionary.

As I am creating these new content models on the fly using a separate program , but still as far as i have seen, the tomcat webserver needs to be restarted to update these  new content models, which I dont want to.

Currently I am using alfresco version 1.4.

Is there any way to update the new content models on the fly with out restarting the webserver or is there any alternatives to accomplish this task.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Regards,
Mahesh

As far as I am aware you don't have any choice.  The only way for any changes you make to the configuration files to take effect is to stop and restart Alfresco.

Alfresco engineers, any more suggestions about any other alternative to accomplish this task?
