Hi,
I have read several topics about editing existing content but there is something I don't understand.
It's said that once the content is cheked in to Staging, it's not possible (or it's not recommended) to edit this content because this content is supposed to be approved. But I think there are always some cases where you need to edit contents that are already published to the public site.
The only way I found to do this would be to backup the XML file of the content, then revert to the previous snapshot, import the XML file, associate it with the web form, and then re-create my content. But it seems a bit complicated for a simple contributor.
Edit : I can browse the staging, and then edit my content (the right web form is associated). I guess that I have deploy after the modification of my content. But what about the version of the deployment ? Will it create a new version ? The contributor has to navigate the folder and search for his content. It can be difficult to find the content if your folder has more than 100 articles…
Am I missing something ?
Thanks for your help.
