Hello,
from some reason (apparently because of an regression issue during update) the property cm:companyfax becomes a "residual" state (which means property without a type definition).
I've checked the contentModel.xml and it definitely contains a property definition, but cm:companyfax still displayed as residual in the node browser.
So here the question:
Is there is a way how to re-import this property to the database to make it not "residual"? May be a DB patch?
Best regards
Vitali

There's nothing to fix. The issue is with the property definition.
Out of the box, cm:companyfax should be a property on cm
erson type.
Do you have more details of what has happened?

Hello,
thanks for your answer.
I know that in theory Alfresco handles the bootstrapping of the properties and their types self.
But in my case it doesn't work. I did a call with Alfresco support today, and we figured out an unbelievable thing:
Some users have this property as "not residual" but some as "residual" with very strange property type, which is:
Users are coming throw LDAP system, we tried even to delete them and start the import again, but the companyfax property still remains residual.
Can it be fixed in the database somehow?
Best regards
Vitali

Yes it can be fixed in the DB. However first you need accurate diagnosis of what is going/gone wrong.
