rename login name because user get married

I looked through the entire forum, wiki and google universe but I couldn't figure out this question:
Is it possible to rename a login name?

This is my szenario:
There is a login called liz.demo. Liz get married and her last name changes from "demo" to "wernigerode". To change user field "last name" was already implemented. By default there is no way to change the field "login" and/or "login name". The new login name has to be liz.wernigerode.

I know this is just software and published as open source. I will use the alfresco own user management (MYSQL table) only (no LDAP, AD, NTLM, etc.).

All the best

No you can't change authority names.
You can change the display name and the last name, first name properties.   But the authority names are primary keys and are also used to link to external systems like LDAP.

Many companies, not just Alfresco users, will avoid using login names based on names for this reason.   An employee "ID" is often used instead.
