Rename FileName

I'm using Alfresco Enterprise Edition.  A document is scanned and put in a directory.  Alfresco picks up the document in that directory but the document has a special character in the filename.  How do I get Alfresco to rename the file?

Please provide step by step instructions.

So what's the name, where did it come from and how do you think it should it be transformed?

I file gets dropped in a directory - lets say the name is "Test & 01.PDF". 

I need to be able to chagne the name from "Test & 01.PDF" to "Test 01.PDF"
