Receiving document added notify in wrong language

I am receiving the document added message in spanish for a site that is set up for english. Any idea how to fix this?

could you please provide some more details? What is the language setting of the browser you used to access the site? How have you "set up" a site for English?
What type of message are you referring to - a UI message, an activity stream or an automatically generated email?
