Hi.

What's the best way to actively monitor Alfresco so that I can view all aspects of activity on the Alfresco environment?

For example, I want to see active uploads, downloads, transformations, solr search, solr indexing, and the protocols that are being used, e.g. active traffic via webdav, https, imap, cifs, etc.

Alfresco monitoring is via JMX.  So you connect your monitoring tool to alfresco thru JMX.

However only a subset of that information is available and much of the Alfresco JMX extensions are Enterprise Only.

Thinking some more about this your request to monitor the "active traffic" over the wire will need some sort of network monitoring software.
