Question about modeling music files

Hi, all
Now, we want to use Alfresco to manage music files. And we all know that besides the audio file and some basic properties like author, a music also has lyrics. So is it better to treat the lyrics simply as a property or another single file and then building the association between the audio file and the lyrics file?

As with many modeling questions the approach depends upon your requirements.   As you dig into what you need to do your solution should become clearer.   It it doesn't then you have probably gone wrong!

I'd start by treating it as a separate file.    There is clearly an association,  but the lyrics are not the same as the sound and potentially have different life-cycle and requirements.

For example consider whether you could have several revisions of lyrics leading up to a final performed version or many performances of the same lyrics, perhaps by different artists.   Or do you want a really tight 1:1 mapping?
