Q about add existing repository contents to a site

I found that when creating a collaboration site in alfresco share, actually alfresco created a space for that site in the repository.
If I want to put some thing that is already in the repository but not in the site space, do I have a option to add a content as a link to the site reference to the content in another space in the repository instead of copy one to the site?
Does alfresco have the ability to create file's or folder's symbolic links across different repository spaces?

I dont think this is possible in the way you want. It however looks like this is an issue on the Roadmap for the next major release - Odin.

http://wiki.alfresco.com/index.php?title=2012_Product_Roadmap&oldid=36797

It says "Linking between sites - Create links to content across sites"

Yeah, this is exactly what I want.
When can we get that feature? Any idea?

I think maybe towards the end of the year.
