Put a user in a private site

i am working in a J2EE project , and after creating alfresco user from my application , and a private site ; i want to know if it is possible to make my user as a member of my private site.

I wrote an article a while back on how to create Share sites programmatically. It contains code in Web Scripts for how to add users to a site. Maybe you can grab some of that code for your use-case?
