Properties inherited cm:content not displayed

In Alfresco 2.1 Enterprise, I load documents using CIFS and have a rule that specializes them to a custom type. When i view the properties of these documents in the webclient, i do not see the properties inherited from cm:content (Name, Title and Description), but i see all the custom properties.

Intrestingly, when i create new files using the same custom type, i see Name, Title and Description along with custom properties.

Does anyone know why properties inherited from cm:content may not show in the webclient?

The property-sheet config does not inherit so if you have config defined for your custom type you must also list the properties you want from its super types i.e. name, description and title.

When creating items through CIFS the titled aspect is not added (thats only done in the web client) so it's probably a combination of the missing config and the nodes not having the aspect applied yet.
