Project Managment

I am looking for a project management add on or workflow/featureset that will allow the following.


1) Managing of projects and assignment to a group. 
2) Management of sub items for a main task.
3) Percent complete marking.
4) emailing of new projects being added/completed reporting on this.


I have tried alvex/becpg and had less than stellar luck.

How do i accomplish this with alfresco? Is it possible?

I am aware of three project management add-ons for Alfresco:

* Alvex
* beCPG Project Manager
* Zia Fresh Project

I am not aware of any others that reached a reasonable state of maturity.

The authors of each of these add-ons hang out in these forums, and I am sure would be very interested in your feedback. Both Alvex and beCPG are open source, so you can help them in the areas where they currently fall short.

I am very interested in hearing more details about what you see as their strengths and weaknesses.

I was unable to recreate this in becpg (or get it to work using their documentation) and I was not able to see this in alvex as a feature set for #2. Zia is sadly not a free project from my initial looks.

In regards to alvex, I also had some hard times creating project tasks and workflows from them with alvex..

Get Error  Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'click' of undefined on the page alvex-project-tasks.

At this point, im not sure what alvex offers beyond the default lists included in alfresco.

Regarding Alvex: current version is not compatible with Alfresco 5.0. I believe that developers will release new version soon.
Also regarding Project Tasks: the page is broken in 2014.10 version, but dashlet works great.
And about #2 Management of sub items for a main task - use related workflows for solving this. You can create a child workflow for every task.
