Process Monitoring

I have seen several requests for process monitoring features. (e.g. http://forums.activiti.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7&p=24&hilit=monitoring#p24)

I have several questions:
1. Is there any monitoring already implemented?
2. Is there any plan to implement monitoring?
3. Is there any requirements/wish list for monitoring?

I saw process instance status visualization and I think it was simple and power full (it was surprise for me in jBpm3 too). The same idea can be applied for process monitoring. Process monitoring can based on process definition diagram. We can monitor amount of tasks in the queues for several process instances (see example4.png attached I was not able to attach example how it should look like). Threshold for events on the queues can generate events to inform about potential risks (e.g. tasks won't be finished in time), and other features….

No. Fox from Camunda does have monitoring (but I don't know the details)

2. Is there any plan to implement monitoring?

Not in the near future. And if it will be implemented, it will probably be Alfresco-first/only.

3. Is there any requirements/wish list for monitoring?

nope, not at the moment. Our current goal is to be the best java workflow engine, rather than trying to be the jack-of-all-trades platform.
