Problems with accented chars/UTF-8 and sharepoint 3.0 labs

Hi!

I did read through the forums and found plenty of similar issues, but to real resolution. Using labs 3.0, running on SLES 10, I cannot get accented characters to work properly, using the SharePoint protocol. Ie, I can browse to a site and all filenames and folder names look OK, but if I select a file containing an accented character and try to open in, Word comes back with:

"Cannot open http://10.0.20.26:7070/alfresco/lag/documentLibrary/fr20082009/2008-2009H¶Ãstsession_index.doc

The correct filename is "2008-2009Höstsession_index.doc" ie contains Odiaeresis

I cannot seem to find anywhere to configure this. If I use plain WEBDav, then it works.

I seem to suffer from the same issue. Have you been able to solve this?
