Problem with tasks

hi

i am using Alfresco 5.1.0 (r127059-b7) and it work fine but i have problem with creating new task.

i am site manager but when i try to assign task to one person i get this error:

org.alfresco.repo.security.permissions.AccessDeniedException: 09280148 Access Denied. You do not have the appropriate permissions to perform this operation.

How you are trying to assign task? Is it workflow task?

Please provide more details here.

it is workflow task.

when i create workflow task (new task assign to yourself or colleague) when i try to search (assign  to) iam geting error org.alfresco.repo.security.permissions.AccessDeniedException: 09310171 Access Denied. You do not have the appropriate permissions to perform this operation. (i am site manager)

but when i create new workflow task  (Assign a review task to a group ) a can search all groups and can assisgn workflow task.

This is strange. Are you able to do CRUD operations on that Alfresco instance. Just want to check it is not in readonly mode. Any other errors in log?
