Problem in using audit trial in alfresco 3.3

hi
i am using alfresco 3.3. audit trial  is not working , it is giving error in tomcat. in previous version ie 3.2r it is not giving error , but it is not showing the log.
in alfresco 3.12, it working perfectly fine. so i wanted to know how can i used audit trial in alfresco 3.3.

And what about auditing on alfresco 3.4.b??? the auditConfig.xml just doesn't exist  

Anyone knows how auditing works in this new version? any info, example, tips will be really appreciate.
