Hello,
I recently migrated/updated our Alfresco Share 3.4.d installation to a new server running Alfresco Share 4.2.e.
Since then, many of our email templates are "missing" … we first noticed when notifications that used to be in french are now sent in english. I've spent some time searching the forums for a similar problem, to no avail.
One of the "symptons" that I see is that even though I can see the
/opt/alfresco-4.2.e/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/bootstrap/notification/wf-email_fr.html.ftl
file on our server's file system, when I go have a look at our Repository -> Data Dictionnary -> Email Templates -> Workflow Notifications I do not see that wf-email_fr.html.ftl in there.
I have added it manually to the Repository with the "Upload" fonctionality and even though it is now in the repository, it is still the english template which is used. I have validated that the content of the *_fr.html.ftl files are ok (in french). I've also validated that the _fr.properties file really does contain french transalations.
I'm puzzled by all of this, looking at other email templates in the repository I see names such as "invite-email_fr.html.ftl" while on the file system I find files such as /opt/alfresco-4.2.e/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/templates/invite-email-templates/invite-email.html_fr.ftl . This makes me suspect that our repository still expects to find "version 3.4.d" email templates, that it is desynchronised with the file system on the new version.
Is this a known issue ? More importantly, is there a known solution ?
Thanks,
