Hi there,
I want to point the dir.root alfresco content dir to a samba share on my network, but that network share requires logging in.
Is this possible? I'm running Alfresco 3.1 on a windows server (Tomcat 5.5.27).
Regards,
Kees.

You need to mount the drive first before Alfresco can use it, and that's the point at which you'd need to provide authentication credentials for the network share.
On *nix OSes (RHEL, MacOSX etc.) this would be done via the "mount" command (http://linux.die.net/man/8/mount) while on Windows you'd use Tools > Map Network Drive from the Windows Explorer or the "net use" command from the command line (http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/net_use.mspx?mfr=true).
Cheers,
Peter
