Plug Alfresco to a external BPM engine

Hello everybody,

I would like to use a external BPM engine (Activiti) instead of the using the internal activiti engine.
The goal is to have a standalone BPM engine and then, be able to start workflows in the external activiti from Alfresco.

I only found a few configurations possibilities in alfresco-global.properties http://docs.alfresco.com/4.0/tasks/adminconsole-workflow.html
Is there some connector existing or is there a configuration that i missed?

I saw a demo recently of that.    Not sure of release or configuration details.

So no possibility of connection for the moment, if i need to do that, it's better to develop it myself or i could wait for some news?
