Phrase searching and Selecting Text?

Two potential issues:

Phrase Searching
I tried running a search like so:  "the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" and from the search results it became apparent that Alfresco is parsing the query as ORs between the words.  Is there a way to do this?  I apologize if I over looked something but my research has not been any help.

Selecting Text in Document Preview
When I select a document, I get a very nice preview, but I cannot select any text in the document to cut and paste.  Is there also a way to do this?

Thanks in advance!

On that note, it would also be nice to have something like foxit pdf do the document preview, so that keyword searches can be made further within the documents.

For all of this I am talking about Alfresco Share, btw.

Hi

Phrase Searching - no, not currently possible but search is being improved as part of the 2009 roadmap.

Selecting Text - again, not currently possible but we're hoping to extend the functionality of the Document Preview this year.

As far as I'm aware, the only way to use Foxit Reader in a browser environment is via it's Firefox addon, so it's not a suitable solution across the board.

Thanks for your feedback,
Mike

Thank you for your reply.

As long as I have someone's ear, may I make another suggestion?  Boolean search as well as phrase searching!

Share search supports "and" "or" and "not" - but possibly not full parenthetical search queries.

Thanks,
Mike
