Hello,

When editing a document in "Edit Online" mode it attempts to access the document using the internal hostname of the webserver.  Obviously this will not work for anyone who is not on site or connected to vpn leaving it inacessible for external users.  How can I change this the proper external hostname that people will be using to access the site.

For example, I would need this to say:

From: projects.icsanalytics.com:7070 instead.

All ports are properly forwarded.

Thank you very much.

Have you tried updating (or adding) alfresco.host=your_server_name in alfresco-global.properties?

I will try this momentarily thank you very much.

that option in alfresco-global.properties is set to our external hostname.

running a grep on the entire alfresco install folder returned only a single result in \alfresco\alf_data\oouser\.lock file for my local hostname.

Hello,

the correct property for this to put in alfresco-global.properties is vti.server.external.host.
Please be aware that this is a global configuration and affects all users - local as well as external / VPN users. You can currently only set one host for SharePoint regarding the URL construction.
