Official Activity Certificates

Hi,

We are participating in a tender, which requires our developers to be certified in all tools that they are using for the implementation.

We will be using Activity as a BPM. Do you know how do I get 5 or 6 certificates for my developers for Activity…

We don't have any Activiti certification process in place for the moment and not planning anything in this direction. The only thing *remotely* activiti-certification is the "Alfresco Certified Engineer" program, although that only covers actvitvi workflow for a very small part.

Thank you for the reply!

Is there a way for us to obtain an approval from someone from Alfresco who can sign that we can use it on a paper like a certificate.

I have no clue what you want here… The only thing that comes to mind is that it sounds like 'fraud'…. Can you elaborate?

We indeed do't have any official certification.

On a personal note (and this is my opinion), software certifications are a thing of the past. A real 'certification' is url's to commits, pull requests, forum posts, blogs, etc ….
(but that is of course my personal opinion, not that of my employer 😉 )

🙂

I didn't intend any fraudulent activities at all…

🙂

What I meant is the following:

Our developers (5 of them) who are extremely good in Activity get examined / questioned / whatever  by someone in Activity/Alfresco. If they pass the Certification Exam - the person who examined them signs that they are indeed versed/certified in Activity.

With no official certification process, this was the closest to it as possible.

Hi jbarrez,

You are absolutely right - certificates are nothing but pieces of paper.

Unfortunately this tender is at a Governmental level, and they require them or else - we can not participate… 😞

I hope they don't use vi/textpad/gedit/svn plugins/… You'd loose the tender because you prices go skyrocket due to all the expensive certifications…  Smiley Wink

But seriously… You'd fail the exam, since the first question is 'what is this examination for' and the correctbanswer would be ActivitI with an i, not a y, so the required 100% score is already gone…

Ok now really serious… Hhhmmm should, I'm only part of the project, not working for Alfresco, so no chance for me to earn money from this…

We don't have any official Activiti certification.

Like Frederik said, the closest you can get is the Alfresco training (they have an Activiti specific training) and the Alfresco certification (but that's more than Activiti only).

Hello all,

I looked through the Alfresco certification but it is more geared towards developers…

For us, Business Analyst Activiti certificate is essential.
