Office Plugin + NTLM + Webdav

Has anyone managed to get this working? It seems really flakey on our setup… if I disable NTLM on the webdav servlet then it works just fine.

Is NTLM  correctly implemented in the Office Plugin?

I tested the nightly build but its not letting me login, I get:

19:53:12,402 DEBUG [org.alfresco.repo.webdav.auth.NTLMAuthenticationFilter] New NTLM auth request from 192.168.3.133 (192.168.3.133:2353)

in the log file but thats all and the office plugin just says Couldnt authenticate with alfresco server.

Any ideas?

Hi - was there ever any resolution on this issue?

I am new to Alfresco, so I might be missing some of the subtleties, but I have an installation of Enterprise - v3.0.0 (r11498)running with NTLM SSO enabled as per http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/3.0_Configuring_NTLM.  NTLM auth and SSO is working well for the primary Alfresco web client and for Share.  I believe that it's working for WebDav as well, as I can download a document from the "View in WebDav" link, and I can browse http://myservername:8080/alfresco/webdav/ OK.

I have not yet tried to setup CIFS / NTLM authentication - it looks like that's a bit more complex, and I am leaving it for later.

However, when I installed the latest (I think) office plugins - alfresco-labs-office2003-addins-3a.1032.zip  - and installed, I am unable to authenticate.  I have entered in the correct web client and webdav URLs, but I just get the "couldn't authenticate with the Alfresco server" dialog box.

Any updates on the current status of NTLM and Office plugin integration?  I would think this would be a very common setup / request in the corporate environment.

EDIT - it looks like I actually am able to browse the CMS and apply tags, etc. from the Office plug-in, so it is sort of working.  I still occasionally get the logon box and failure notice, but it doesn't seem to stop me from working with the docs.  Is this a known issue?
