Office plug-in doesn't work with Excel

I am currently evaluating Alfcresco for the use in  our company. I’m testing the Office plug-in but I’ve a problem with Excel.

Word is fine.
After starting Microsoft Word, and a file (.DOC) the plugin works fine: the document is opened in Word correctly.

Excel opens documents in the Internet Explorer
When I’m opening a file (.XLS), it won't load into the normal sheet (Microsoft Excel) but the plugin opens the file in IE displaying it in there.

What can I’ve to do to solve the problem?
It’s a pity because I really appreciate Alfresco.

It's a known bug, discussed previously on these forums. Grab a new version of the client from the nightly build server, or SVN.

I have some problems with word add-in after i installed office add-in in many versions of alfresco.

I would appreciate it if you would tell me how u fix the problem.(which version of alfresco, etc)

I use Alfresco community 2.9b and Office plugin 3.0 beta

I also tried to configure cifs server on my client but without appreciable changes
