What, precisely, is the difference between installing the separate M$ Office addins for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, versus installing the single Office 2003 addin?
What would be the advantages of one approach relative to the other? Under what circumstances should one be recommended over the other?
It's purely a convenience thing - if you don't want the add-in functionality in all three applications then you can just install using the individual installers. Otherwise the 3-in-1 installer installs exactly the same code as the separate installers, but across Word, Excel and PowerPoint in one go.
Also, the Word add-in was developed first so historically had it's own installer.
Thanks for the quick reply. That was pretty much what I was guessing, but as it's part of my job to tell people how to use Alfresco and to answer such questions, a definitive answer is much better than an guess!
