Hello Exerts,

Could anyone tell me how objects and comments are related to each other? How can I query comments of a particular object?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

Comments (via the Share UI) are actually posts in a pseudo-discussion-forum for the affected object. When you look at a commented object via the NodeBrowser, you'll see a child node of type fn:forum containing a single topic "Comments" (type "fn:topic") which contains all the comments (type "fnSmiley Tongueost"). You can query those objects via a PATH query using the path of the object as the root (and maybe adding the fragments for the comments sub-structure).

Axel

Axel, thanks a lot for the excellent answer. Now, the problem is if I create the same folder structure (same type and same names) from CMIS library and put some fmSmiley Tongueosts inside them, share never detects them. In fact, if I create a comment from share ui too, it create two folder with the same name and type in inside a single parent folder. very weir. Could you give some pointers on that?
I could not find any documentation too. Smiley Sad

Thanks in advance

Axel, thank you very much for the excellent information. Yes, I was able to query and find out the folder structure. Now, the problem is that I want to create comments from CMIS so that share UI should display them as well. If I create a folder of type fm:forum->fm:topic (with exact names as "<object name> discussion" and Comments), share does not see that folder. In fact, if I create it and then comment from share UI, it creates two folders with the same name in which is very weird.

Could you please suggest me something? I am new to alfresco and found almost no documentation related to comments/ likes etc.

Thanks in advance
