NTLM users not found in user search
Hello,
I am facing very strange behaviour of my alfresco 3.4.d installation: I cannot find users, which are authenticated and created through NTLM (running on samba PDC).
Users are not found when I use 'Search' in Administration Console neither in Invite Users Wizard (image alf_search.jpg). In administration console I can display missing users when I choose option 'Show All' (image alf_all.jpg).
Users that can't be found are new users, who were created after samba version upgrade to 3.5.6. User is authenticated and able to log in to Alfresco, but no information is found about user in search dialogs mentioned before.
The most important problem is that situation makes impossible to manage space and assign roles to newly created users. 'Old' users work fine.
On the presented images you can see two situations: one is 'Show All' in Manage system users, and two users with initial letters 'ag' are shown. The other is result for search users with initial letter 'ag'. Only one user is found.
Did anyone faced similar problem? Or how can I track what causes this situation?
Thanks in advance,
Peter

Sound like you don't have synchronization working or you have you turned off the option to create people on login?

Please post your configuration when asking questions like this.

The problem has been solved. Surprisingly it was related  to parameter:
index.tracking.disableInTransactionIndexing=true
in respository.properties
which switched back to 'false' caused the person node is created propely again. It's been changed due to memory leak issue in CMIS using CmisSync (by the way it didn't help).

Thank you for your sugesstion about create person on login issue, it helped clarify a lot how these mechanisms work.

Regarding configuration posting - it's bit complicated to gather several files with dozen lines of configuration. But next time I'll do my best Smiley Happy

Tanks a lot, hoping my work'll help someone.
