Not able to preview website

Hi,
i have downloaded and installed alfresco labs3 beta with tomcat and MySQL.

i have configured in alfresco-virtserver.properties as
alfresco.virtserver.domain=127-0-0-1.ip.alfrescodemo.net
and added this line in hosts file
127.0.0.1     127-0-0-1.ip.alfrescodemo.net

my tomcat server and virtual server started up and got this line in alfresco.log
LinkValidationService Update is running (connected to virtualization server)

now assuming that there is connection between virtual server and alfresco webapp, i created the web forms and web project.
But, after BULK IMPORT, when i try to preview website, a new window opened with the url
http://admin.alfrescowww.www--sandbox.127-0-0-1.ip.alfrescodemo.net:8180/
and i got the page below.
ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://admin.alfrescowww.www--sandbox.127-0-0-1.ip.alfrescodemo.net:8180/

The following error was encountered:

Connection to 127.0.0.1 Failed
The system returned:

    (111) Connection refusedThe remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again


Any idea on what is going on..??

could you please clear me where exactly ur tryiong to see the preview?

is it in My sandbox or Staging Sandbox?

you should see the preview in MySandBox only.

Hi,
i'm assuming ur using same machine for web client and preview.
In this case :
  - no need to configure any where. default settings are pretty good enough.
  - remove the lines added in host file and .properties file,check it again.

I have changed the configuration as below,

in <Alfresco home>\virtual-tomcat\conf\alfresco-virtserver.properties,
alfresco.virtserver.domain=<hyphen-encoded IP>.ip.alfrescodemo.net

in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts,
<dot-encoded IP> <hyphen-encoded IP>.ip.alfrescodemo.net
<dot-encoded IP> <web_project_name>.www–sandbox.<hyphen-encoded IP>.ip.alfrescodemo.net
<dot-encoded IP> preview.<web_project_name>.www–sandbox.<hyphen-encoded IP>.ip.alfrescodemo.net
<dot-encoded IP> <user_name>.<web_project_name>.www–sandbox.<hyphen-encoded IP>.ip.alfrescodemo.net
<dot-encoded IP> preview.<user_name>.<web_project_name>.www–sandbox.<hyphen-encoded IP>.ip.alfrescodemo.net
(entry for all the users involved in that webproject)

Also i added *.alfrescodemo.net in Don't use proxy list in the browser settings

I am able to create and preview the site as given in Evaluation Guide.
It s working fine.

But is adding multiple entries to hosts file acceptable?

Hi all,
am able to preview a website when i create a project.
Once i restart the server, am not able to preview.

Am getting the page below,
Virtual website not found

No such webapp

What should be done?
