No mails are sent after a request to join on a moderated public site

Hi,

I'm new in the alfresco environment and I'm trying to setup an alfresco 4.2e on a windows server

I have public moderated sites

When I do a "request to join" on one of these sites as normal user, a task is created for all the site managers.
But there is no mail sent to the site managers.

Is this the default behavior?

If it is, is there a configuration parameter where I can change this

Best Regards

Hi,

Can you get other email sent? For example the daily activity email or even the test email from when you start your server.
If not, your email might just be misconfigured.

If other emails works, check your spam folder.
If it's not there, maybe have a look at this thread:

Oh sorry I misread your post. It's when requesting to join not when inviting.
I don't think that there is an email sent in this case by default. Just a task is created for the managers.
You receive an email if your request is rejected though.

sorry, I missed your answers.

So there is no easy way to automaticly send an email to the site manager.
Now the manager always need to check alfresco to see new requests.

As the above replies point out spewing out reminders to the site managers is not something that Alfresco does out of the box.

As with most things Alfresco you can change the code to do what you want to.    In particular either change the moderated invitation workflow or add something to the invitation service implementation (InvitationServiceImpl)
