Hello…

i'm a new user and this is my first post. i have a big project coming up soon and client wants us to use alfresco. i need to install it on my machine for testing and development purposes. i have XAMPP installed with apache and mysql already configured and running properly. how can i install alfresco so that it uses my already installed mysql. also concerning tomcat, should i install it separately as an add on to XAMPP or use the one that comes with the package? i have already downloaded the exe file but am not comfortable to run it since i already have mysql installed and don't want it to get messed up during alfresco installation.

so any help would be greatly appreciated if someone / anyone can help me in this regard.

many thanks in advance

regards

Use the bundled version of Tomcat.   It will get you up and running more quickly.

You will be able to use your existing mySql database.   Just follow the install guide.
